About Me
I have been interested in early 20th century decorative arts for a number of years; in particular the Art Deco era. A love of collecting has led me to start selling, after realising that my grown up children were probably right in describing our home as a museum! Something had to go and selling at fairs seemed a good idea.
Selling as a business means that I can enjoy searching for good quality Art Deco items on a bigger scale! Great fun!
I am also interested in information technology, having started to use computers back in 1986, in the floppy disk era! This website is my own work and it may not be as flash as many others out there, but I have enjoyed working on it. I hope it works for you too! Any problems you encounter whilst using my website, please let me know and I will endeavour to put them right.
About My Items
All items are vintage and therefore at least secondhand. I do not sell modern reproductions, nor do I stock new items of any description.
For the purpose of accuracy, you will find on this web site that: the term 'Art Deco' means that an item was produced between 1918 and 1940 and is in a form recognised as being Art Deco.
The term 'Art Deco style' means that an item is a vintage piece, of Art Deco form, but from a time later than 1940, but NOT a reproduction.
Where possible, exact dates, (to the decade), will be given.

And Finally...
I have an eBay shop, (ID: vintagedeco), and sell some of my less bulky items there. It was a massive surprise when I was contacted by The Independent newspaper and asked about the effect that the recent eBay 'final value' fee increase has had on my eBay business selling.
I am not alone in finding it more difficult to make any profit from my eBay activities. Buying from my website is always less expensive as I do not have the associated eBay fees. So, if you have been referred here from my eBay 'Me' page, please keep my website in mind! The article can be read by left clicking below.
